Goodridge Stainless steel brake lines - Accord

Car: 1995 Honda Accord EX, 5 speed manual
Doors: 4 Door sedan

I had stock rubber lines on this thing at time of purchase and the car stopped pretty well compared to my old accord which was a 91 Lx, automatic.
The 4 wheel disc brakes were awesome compared to that disc/drum setup but in stop and go traffic and during HOT days in either san diego or just driving around town there was a noticable fade in the brakes.
I had the goodridge steel braided lines installed at CC Auto here in so cal and then had the lines bled and then was off to let them brake in and then mash it to see if there was any improvement.
First off the pedal pressure increased dramatically. The slight spongy feel when on the brakes even a little bit was GONE.
During stop and go traffic and hot days and days of hard braking.......brake fade was pretty much all gone. Brakes feel tight and confident.
I'd rate these a must have if you drive a lot and brake a lot during your travels.

Not sure how it helps with brake fade, SS line stop the rubber lines from expanding, not brake fade. Brake fade is caused by the fluid getting to hot and coming to a boil which then cause air to form in the line and compress which is why the pedel to feel soft.

I drive like a dick sometimes; hard accel; hard braking; driving in stop and go; corner hard and with the stock lines the brakes would get very mushy and perform like crap. The SS brake lines keep the pedal firm and the brakes perform consistently well; much improved over stock

Yeah thats what SS lines are meant to do stop the line expandsion.. not brake fade. i would be very hard to get acctually brake fade in street driving. the only way to really cure brake fade is go with a diffrent brake fluid. some thing that has a higer boiling point like a DOT 5 type fluid.

Have you driven an accord or you got a lude?
Cuz if you have ever driven an accord in street driving in so cal like during this last summer and then last year you would know what I am talking about.
My old 91 Lx would be so piss poor in braking under hard driving, and a bit crappy in stop and go traffic if i was like an hour or two into it.
The 95 Accord was almost the same way except not as bad but still not great; when the SS lines were installed EVERYTHING stopped.
The car brakes as good at 3am in the morning if I pound it 10 min after I start driving from the engine being cold as it does at 2pm in the afternoon after 2 hrs of driving.

brake fade is actually mostly from the pads. street pads will fade at a lower temperature than most dot3 fluid boils. ss lines affect brake feel....not fade. but line expansion is what ss lines prevent, which is why the brakes feel solid in traffic. but if you try to go run the canyons at 10/10ths, the pads will most likely heat up to where the coefficient of friction begins to decrease.
