I just got my new "Hawk Performance Racing Disc Brake Pads" (front only) installed on my prelude today, my brakes had been squeeking and I had already replaced my rear so I figured it was time for new front pads and to resurface the rotors. Well i'm starting autocross soon so I wanted something that could take the beating so I thought the Hawk autocross brakes were just what I were looking at. I found them on www.tirerack.com for $100, $108.43 after shipping. The brakes come with a lifetime warranty, just have to call hawk if something goes wrong. Tirerack did a great job, I ordered the brakes about 5 pm on monday and they came around 1 pm on tuesday. Well anyways Hawk does recommend new rotors but I coudn't afford that, so I went to napa and got my rotors resurfaced, $13 a piece, my friend and his dad are good friends with all the employees.
Onto the actual review of the brakes :clap
The brakes work great, I'm very happy with them. Hawk recommended some hard stops to break them in. I did a few 65mph to 50mph and 50mph to 30mph, you just get thrown forward in your seat, theyr'e great! My friend said, "Damn, good things these seatbelts work" that's just how great they stop. Also before I ordered the brakes I read reviews of all the people who had purchased them, the lowest I saw was 7 out of 10, and I saw multiple 10's.
Cliff notes these brakes are great, they stop you in no time and hopefully will withstand the heat of auto-x. I highly recommend them.

I've had the HPS pads on the rear for a good bit now and just got them for the front along with new rotors all around. My integra stops a lot faster than it use to. It takes a lot less pedal to stop the same amount as before. They aren't very noisy either. They makes some dust, but it washes off really easily. I'd recomend them to anyone looking to upgrade their brakes.
I have run 2 sets of AEM's on my car in the last two years. One set was with Brembo drilled rotors and the other set was with Brembo blanks. The first set "warped" produced steering wheel shakes after about 6 months, I have just noticed the same with my 2nd set, allthough in even less time.
I understand that the rotor itself is not warped but the pads are depositing unevenly causing the shaking. I can only associate this with poor quality of the AEM/Nissin pads which surprises me. I have done a few sets of "brake in" brakes for my friend, he uses the Hawk Black pad's which I assume are the "race" version. These do stop noticably harder then the AEM and he says he rarely has "warped" rotor on the race track.
Both cars have the same brake caliper so that means it's either the rotor or pads. I will try a set of the Hawk Blues with my resurfaced drilled rotors to see if they are better.
I use my car as a daily driver, however I do drive fairly aggresively and brake relatively hard to give you an idea of how these brakes are being used.
I honestly think that a multi-caliper braking system will help but I don't have the money for it.

I just installed a pair of HPS pads on my 95 DB8 yesterday and I'm very pleased with them. I can totally notice the difference from the oem pads. I highly recommend these pads for anyone who want more stopping power on the streets.

I got the ceramic, low dust, low noise hawk pads, and they're much better than the stocks. I have them on with some Brembo blanks. Pretty cheap too, got em for like $30 at tirerack.
