The shocks in my gsr are blown, so I decided it was time to replace the shocks and lower the car again (it was lowered prev w/nuespeed race springs, and returned to factory height about a year ago). I ordered a set of Koni Reds and H&R OE Springs (I didnt want the car slammed again, just wanted to close up the wheel gap a little). Well when the shocks arrived the front shocks didnt even come with a brake line mount on it, you have to take the ones off the stock shocks, but the shocks that are coming off the car are not the stock shocks and the brake line mount is welded to the shock, so you cant take em off. And then the dust cover doesnt fit over the shock shaft. So I am sending it all back, the shocks and springs, there all going back!! I was kinda disappointed with Koni. I read about how everyone praises their shocks, but why would you order shocks for your specific vehicle model and make and them have to adjust them or other parts to get them to fit in the car. So I guess I will have to settle for factory height. I am just going to put in Acura OEM Shocks and keep the factory springs on the car, I know the ride wont be as stiff as I want it, and the car will still have that ugly wheel gap, but its better than dealing with the headache of trying to track down pieces of the suspension or drilling bigger holes in the stock parts. I guess the point of this review was to express my disappoint in Koni.
Ok dont talk shit about koni all you had to do is contact them and they would of been happy to help. But sounds like you might of got sent the wronge shocks did you put them in or did you pay some1 to do it? koni yellow > koni reds

They are the correct model for a 94 Teg GSR, but they dont come with everything you need to install, so I did not even get to install them. I went with the red instead of yellows, because I am only lowering the car an 1".
I was not talking smack, just disappointed. I used to have Neuspeed Race Springs with KYB AGX and those shocks came with the brake line mount welded onto the shock. The Koni's came with just the spring perches, so you have to use the brake line mounts from the old shocks (assuming the brake line mounts are able to be removed from the old shocks) well unfortunately the old shocks on my car have the brake line mount welded to the shock, so you cant just slide em off and slap em on the Koni shock. So basically they are worthless to me, I cant install them, unless I can find 2 brake line mounts (which is nearly impossible), I can't even get them from the dealer, because they come attached to the OEM shock, they are not a seperate part, so I would have to buy the whole OEM shock ($150.00) and then use the brake line mount from a brand new shock. That is stupid! If I would have bought the yellows, I would probably be even more irritated. I was just disappointed because I figured if I was buying a shock for a 94 Teg GSR, that it would have what it needed to be installed, other shock companies (inluding ACURA) provide the brake line mount, so why doesn't Koni?
I don't mean to sound like an @ss, but these ar simple issues. I had a dremel handy to enlarge the hole in my dust covers when I installed my konis. The thicker shaft is a good thing.
As for the brake line fittings, it isn't koni's fault that you didn't have your original shocks. It is quite common to have to reuse oem hardware when installing aftermarket parts.
I'm glad that you posted these items as they are often forgotten about when folks recommend konis, but these extra steps really are common knowledge which has nothing to do with the quality of the shock.
After 2.5yrs with my koni yellows, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend koni's to someone else. They are great shocks.
