Koni Yellows with H&R OE Springs

K guys this is what I've been doing to my EJ1 so far . First was suspension then comes the engine transplant. So far it's been a hilly road , but like they say at the end of the tunnel there is a white light of hope.

These shocks are superb although they may seem simple enough, they can give you a big headache to try and find all the things they can do (although like everything it has it’s limits) They feel nice and smooth compressing bumps are not a problem.

The springs are as they promise, they hold a nice soft bounce (almost like OEM springs, but I dare to say maybe a bit softer, dunno but that's just me)one thing that sorta made me sad was that even though they advertise that it's supposed to lower only a bit, less than 1', you can't even notice that the car has lowered at all, even measuring it and leaving it to sorta wear in nothing. Thus I had to result in lowering the position of the spring seat on the front shocks (that's how I got that nice drop)

So for nice change from OEM to something better this combination is awesome, even my girl said they ride nice and soft so that's a big plus.

K so here we go, plz don't laugh as all the pics were taken with my phone cam.

Ok this is before the whole shibbang.

These are the spings

and the shocks (which you guys know so well)

and the complete package

Yeah sorry the lighting when I took this pic was just horrible. But plz bare with me.

K here is the part where all the problems began but slowly and surely we are getting through. The first problem was that in the rear the bolts which connect the LCA to the shocks (guess what) BROKE!! DAM IT We used all possible types of lubrication and even heat but nothing worked in the end. as pictured here

As you can also see we tried cutting the lower part of the shock So as you can already guess the front of the car already done and the back not it ends up looking blehhh (that is until we get the friggin bushing )

This is the front setup

This is the end result (for now)

Bonus pic of the action

Well that's it for now, hope you guys enjoy.

You should put your dust covers back on the shocks

I tried that but they wouln't fit, the Konis are thicker than the oem ones. Although if I think of it correctly I can probably drill the whole to be bigger. Could it cause too much problems if the dust shield is not there? Thanks for the suggestion.
