PowerSlot Pro Stops

I got them in this morning for my 95 Civic DX coupe and i just got home from putting them on. Quick an easy install. Took no more then 45 minutes to put those on with new pads and bleeding the brake system. They look cool...but thats about the high end of it. I don't do enough hard driving to feel the differeance between them and some blanks. I AM, however, sick of cleaning my rims so damn much and the slots are said to reduce the amount of dust on my spokes but we will see. Also the "dimples" are said to give some what of the cooling efficieny of that of drilled rotors, just without the risk of cracking. The dimples are only as deep as the recommend minimum thickness of the rotor.

I should have used HAWK pads but i got the "Premium" Car Quest pads because i get them for dirt cheap through my job plus its on credit.

Rating:
Performance: 4/5 - just as good as blanks if your a dialy driver
Looks: 5/5 - Looks cool at hell
Installation: - 4/5 Easy, easy, easy but braking them in was a bitch. All i had was a Safeway parking lot to do it.

Over All: - 4/5

I say go ahead and get them if you want something cheap, with a smidget of performance. Don't give me that bullshit about surface area eithe. I have driven on all sorts and if your a daily driver and want a bit of a change, i say go ahead and them. You can hardly feel the difference, plus they look dope =P

I'll get pictures up as soon as i can, my camera got jacked

Johnny is a ricer. He drives a lil 94 civic sedan, primered with a 4.5" tip muffler and dropped on springs he cut himself. Johnny gets on the highway and with his pedal to the floor, he hits 80 mph in a quick 10 minutes. Johnny ends up bottoming out and swerves into his buddy Billy. Billy drives a 96 honda accord with a knock-off bomex body kit he found on ebay. Since Billy is an idiot, he could only find woodscrews and scotch tape to keep his body components on. Once hit, all his body components fly off the car and into oncoming traffic. From there, they cause a 20 car pile-up. Now thier buddy, Joey, who drives his mom's 87 civic sedan, wanted to race too but apparently removing his A/C and putting "powered by civic" on his windshield for more "power" wasn't enough to let him keep up with Johnny and Billy. Joey could only make it to the entrance ramp though, because he passed out of heat stroke. He runs the car into a guard rail and now traffic is all nice and fucked up....

See what your ricers do to people? So the moral of the story is to not be a ricer...if you already are one, turn in your keys to the nearest dumpster and bash your head on a brick wall until you forget you even bought the car....or die...whichever comes first.

slotted rotors will actually probably generate more brake dust as they wear away the pads faster. Dusting is more a function of the brake pad. Some dust worse than others.
