Skunk2 Front Upper Strut Bar (Brace)

I've had my skunk2 front upper strut bar/brace for nearly 2yrs on my 98 civic ex. It is an excellent quality bar with very good welds. Most people complain about pivot points on strut bars, but it all depends on how they are designed. The skunk2 bar has slots where the mounting brackets attach to the bar. I assume this is to allow it to still fit with a few chassis imperfections. However once you fit it into place, trust me, it isn't moving. The bar is extremely rigid and does an excellent job at tying the front end together.

My butt dyno is pretty accurate and I seldom get affected by the placebo affect. I removed my short ram and went back to stock intake because all it did was make noise...

Anyways, the car was noticeably smoother going over bumps like speedbump. Steering was slightly improved and the chassis no longer squeaked when going over speedbumps.

I already had eibach pro-kits and koni yellow shocks when I added the skunk2 bar. I do not think that it would make a very noticeable difference to someone on a completely stock suspension.

Anyways, excellent quality and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again.

I have them on my 1999 SI
Frunt and back. $150 apice
The rast of my suspension is stock.
When I got my SI the factory tower bar was missing.
So I went to NOPI for a DC Sports pice.
the first thing the sale rep asked is if my project was for show or go?
I said Go and a little show.
He took the DC sports pice and bent it over his knee. FLEX!
Then showed me the Skunk 2 bar. Stiff like my rodd at a cheerleader competition. and looked nice too.
I put it on my SI, (perfict fit) Wow! I felt the diference right away.
High speed stability. try 90mph+ ,no wabble, tracks streight with no hands.
Switching lanes like nothing.
Off ramps are no problme.
Get this part.

They look soooooo good! I've been contemplating getting at least the front upper one for a while now. I had the rear lower tie bar and noticed that my back end was a little more stable on those 270 degree freeway onramps down in LA.

I made the mistake and got budget tires for my SI back in my newbe days.
The rear end was all over the place.
I then put the tower bars on it.
It realy reinged in that wild horse
Then went Yokohamma all arround.
Solid!
The only thing that disturbes it now is the air getting under it at
High speeds with stock ride hight.

If you haven't done this mood.
DO IT! Expand you performance handeling envelope.
When you ripping on the high way and have to switch lanes?
This is what you need son.
