Toyo T1R

Im running 215/40/16 on my crx and done about 1000kms on them.

My impressions:

almost no tire noise, the grip is what you would expect from high performance tires (nothing to write letters about). Wet weather performance is quite exceptional. Suprisingly the ride is very smooth which I think is due to relatively soft tire wall. Because of soft tire wall you have to run higher tire preasures or else you will lose turn in response but onces they load up, they grip pretty good.

I am abit concern about the narrow treads and have a question mark how they will hold up on the circuit. Will keep you up to date once i hit the track.

T1-R's will hold up quite well. I've been running the T1-S on track and a buddy of mine just did an event with me at www.roadatlanta.com with the T1-R's on his 350z. They held up well. They are about the best street tire you can get for the track. In order to get better, you would really need to start looking at race tires like the Toyo RA-1.
