ok so ive decided to get nitrous.... What do you guys think is better- 2 10lb bottles or 1 20lb bottle? If i do get the 20lb bottle is it going to be harder to keep the bottle pressure up?...

i personally dont see the point of having 2 10 lb. bottles, and i really dont see the need in a 20lb bottle. Why can't you just go with one 10lb bottle?

he could be going with a very high shot. If not, yeah there isn't really a point to getting a 20lb bottle if your only spraying 55 shot.

well it'd have to be like a 150 shot to need that big of a bottle, and thats unlikely someone would spray that much.

i see your point about not spaying a lot... but i just want the extra bottle for looks and plus i would always have a full bottle...

why not go for 2 of the big ones!?? don't you need them by tonight??!
but seriously even if you run a 100-125 shot you'll still run for awhile if you use it conservatively. why not a 15# bottle so it's not too much larger than the 10# one. a 20# bottle is overdoing it a bit. and 2 bottles aren't needed unless running a very larger injection and racing alot, then you don't want to run out of N2O.

I think he thinks that the bottles are what give the shot thats why he's asking such a stupid question....size/quantity doesn't matter in performance with nitrous....its the injectors.
BTW i ran the 100-125 shot with a 10# bottle most of last year so i know how fast it can run out depending on your usage etc.
and the injectors don't matter much unless it's a dry setup.
wet and DP provide their own fuel via solenoids.
with a larger bottle the psi may be hard to keep up when the N2O is almost out since it has more room to expand inside before it really becomes pressurized. the 10# bottle worked fine for me but a 15# would've been nice so i didn't have to fill it as much.
I wouldn't see the need for two bottles. I got about 4 passes out of a single 10-pounder at a 150 HP setting. And there would usually be a pound or two left in it after that.
I suppose you could mount two bottles, and when one ran dry, you could switch the feed line to the other - but you'd have to be using a lot of spray/often to be doing that.
