yes you can just sand, primer, and paint the bottle. yes you should push the button at wide open throttle, and let off between shifts. if i were you i would ditch the button and buy a w.o.t. switch.it's safer and gives you less to think about. flip the switch and the n20 only comes on when the gas is mashed. i highly suggest this.

nope. i mean as long as you don't take a big ass grinder to it and go nuts. you have to sand it to polish it and i'm sure you've seen numerous polished n20 bottles. all you want to do is sand the finish that the manufacturer put on it. it's 100% safe

yes that is what you can get but I would get a window switch to not spray through the shifts with an auto.

i would sand it down with some 180 and then go back over it with some 400. primer it. sand it with some 600. paint it. i could tell you how to get a show car finish out of it, but i doubt you'll want to go through that. what i stated above will give you a nice finish.

then it would cost a lot more money because you would need auto quality paints and they aren't cheap. plus you would have to buy the appropriate reducers and the clear and the additives for the clear. the smallest amount of base paint that you can buy is a quart, but automotive clear is only sold in gallons.
