Question First time nitrous on a H22.

I'm new here on the boards and I recently installed a Nitrous Express Stage 1 EFI wet kit on my H22A '92 Civic sedan. I know most of the detail about running the kit like only using it at WOT above 3,000 rpm and shutting it off 300 rpm before redline, etc. I plan on starting with a 25 shot and eventually bumping it up to 50 and then 75.

Does anyone have any recommendations like heat range of plugs I should use and such to avoid damaging the engine?

I've known other people who are running ZEX 50 or 75 shots nitrous on their Honda ( one in particular being a H22) but he has since moved before I could learn more about safely using the kit.

Use a WOT throttle switch - so you don't have to have it on a button - MUCH MORE RELIABLE with the switch. Also you could opt for a window switch to either turn it on at your preset RPM or turn it off at the preset RPM. Basically take you out of the loop for activating it and deactivating it. The system will be tons more reliable, safer and alot more fun to use. Not sure on the heat range for the h22 though.

I just ran a compression test today and I came up with roughly 245 for each cylinder. (number 3 actually tested 250 but I went ahead and rounded down ) I'm going to buy the plugs suggested by Bonestock94. I checked NX installation guide and they say the shark nozzle should be "2 to 6 inches from the throttle body, the actual spacing is not important", I went ahead and tapped it in after the bend so its about 2" away from the TB. I also tested all my solenoids and fittings for function and leaks so everything is looking good, I'm just waiting to get my jets back from the kid who orignally bought the kit from me. I'll start off small with a 25 shot and work my way up over time, I don't plan on getting trigger happy and the highest I'm going to go is a 75 shot.

Are NGK BKR7ES-11 's ok? The ES-11's are just the V-power thing, right?

the "-11" means they are pregapped at the stock gap which i think is .044. you should get ungapped ones and gap them yourself. with nitrous they tend to work better with a smaller gap like .025-.030

BKR7EIX, they are however Iridium...don't know if that really matters or not. I made them in the "Advanced Tuners" area based off them specs of the BKR7ES-11's with the exception that I changed the gap from .044" to .030" .

Thread Size: 14mm
Hex: 5/8" (16mm)
Gap: .030"
Seat: Gasket
Terminal Type: Solid
Heat Range: 7
Reach: 19mm (3/4")
Resisitor: Yes
Manufacturer: NGK

Will these be ok?
