ok i have a d15b sohc vtec motor and i just picked up a dry nos setup for cheap. this is my daily driver and i dont want to blow it up. so what im asking is could i just spray like a very small shot in to the stock air box. im running a stock air box with a k&n drop in filter with a cold air intake pipe from box to the throttle body. Will i feel any gain from this will it be ok input please thanks

First, Which Nitrous kit do you have - is it a genuine NOS dry kit with the vaccum manifold (it has two solenoids on the same braided line with a long blue hexagonal cylinder on it that you hook up to the vaccuum line your FPR is on, the other end of the braided line has the nozzle on it) on it or is it another brand or more info on what you are trying to use helps us help you. Are you planning on installing the nozzle about 6 inches before the throttle body? If your running a DRY kit that does NOT have some sort of fuel enrichment mechanism, you will waste your engine. Just spraying straight nitrous into your car is a GREAT way to DESTROY your motor - REGUARDLESS of the amount.

not really, I mean yea it can hurt it but anything can hurt it. A dry shot means more tunning. He doesnt want a big shot anyways so he wont need that much more fuel. Your scaring the guy before he even starts. Your best bet is to read up alot before you use the kit. Get colder plugs and retard timming if your that scared. I dont see a 50 shot killing his engine if he knows what hes doing....

his point was very valid. spraying into the manifold without any fuel enrichment will kill that motor. there is no doutb about that. even a 50 shot. and anyone who is asking basic questions, doesnt know what they are doing when it comes to nitrous. not to be an asshoel or anything, jsut thats how it is. of course he needs to read up. But he's got a good start by asking questions. but festivagt was jsut stating the obvious
