I have a 92 Integra GSR with a NOS wet system and I am shooting a 55 shot as of right now. My question is if I wanted to jump to 70, how much am I suppose to retard my timing. The compression on my car right now is 9.7:1.
Also, for the wet shot, is it true that if you put the nozzle closer to the thorttle body it would make more HP and perform better?
Thanks in advance
This is what the Nitrous for Newbies sticky says, which you should maybe read over.
75 shot
Retard your ignition timing by 3 degrees, pick up an ignition, colder plugs, spark plug wires, and look into getting a stronger clutch because your stock one will be slipping very badly. If you find that you are running lean or rich pick up a fuel pressure regulator. If you are running a direct port kit, then you can pick up an Apexi VAFC to control your fuel map.
Mods: AEM V2 Intake, Apex-i Dunk cat back exaust, and MSD 6AL and blaster coil
You do not gain HP if you move it closer, you lose HP, but gain a little torque. I belive for a wet single fogger it is 6" from the TB and a dry system is a little further.

i have my wet fogger plumbed like 2-3" from the throttle body, the part of the intake pipe where its still straight / no bend. instructions say 6' inches but i moved it closer, no problems.
make sure you're using the proper fuel too, 91+ octane.
2-3 degrees should be fine for 70-75 shot especially with the stock C/R. if you're using a wet system i highly recommend installing a high flow fuel pump to provide enough fuel with the N2O injected. colder plugs should be used as well. a stronger ignition system isn't needed but can add to the performance.
the VAFC and most of those other fuel controllers aren't worth the time or $$. if you're using a DP system (like i used to) then you don't want the VAFC either, you're better off with the stock ECU and no hacks.
if you have the correct amount of ignition retard, colder plugs w/ smaller gap and the proper amount of fuel then you should be fine. watch your bottle pressure cause that makes a huge difference in the mixture and how much power the motor makes.
Mods: generic shortram, dual stage intake manifold, EX ecu, B&M FPR, portmatched cylinder head/manifolds. DC sports stainless header (wrapped), random technology high flow cat, Greddy SP catback. Nitrous Express 50shot, NX bottle heater, NX purge v
I'm running a NX 50shot (really a 75shot). I had my timing retarded 4 degrees, but my car was a dog. Right not i have it 1 degree retarded and it flies.

yea i believe its 3-4 degrees retard and yes the closer to the trottle body the better i heard for the wet system and the opposite goes for the dry system.

all nitrous kits rate HP for at the crank.
NX guarantees you'll see at least that much HP at the wheels with the correct bottle pressure, and plenty of dyno's prove it.

are you saying that you are running a 75 shot that puts 50 h/p to the wheels. your post confused me a little. i know about drivetrain loss. i just didn't understand what you were really trying to say.
i sure hope you see 50 WHP gains from a 75 shot. drivetrain loss is normally between 15-20%, so from a 75 shot (tuned correctly of course), there should be roughly a 60-65 WHP gain. saying that it's a 50 shot but really a 75 shot is a bit confusing.

the nitrous express kit comes with 3 different ways to jet it. You can jet it for 35hp, 50hp, or 75hp. Thats how much HP you'll see at the wheels. Mine is jetted for 50hp.
