JDM B18C5

Could the stock motor handle a direct port 75 shot with a good tune? Thanks.

yetterben is an unknown quantity at this point
I would say so. As long as the proper preperations all followed. Do a leak down test and go from there.

timing, plugs, fuel, tuning, and as long as the motor is in good shape.....as long as all of that is in order it will be fine

It will hold all day long. All you need to do is get 2step colder plugs, retard the timing a couple degrees and make sure you have no fuel problems.

go to a colder plug 7, retarded your timing by 1 degree every 50shot hp..if ur running a 75 shot retard your total timing by 1.5 degrees.. i would know i ran a 100shop on my stock block c5 for over a year..wasn't sprayed every day, or really every week for that matter, it was sprayed when it needed to be sprayed.. it held it..now the juice is off, it was fun for awhile, but i felt myself getting "Trigger" happy if u know what i mean.. so i took it off.

a simple fix to the timing issue if you dont mind spending around 400 bucks. would be to get the msd sci digital ignition. you can set your launch rpm. Also if you have a nitrous system it will allow you retard the ignition timing up to 10 degrees when the nitrous is activated. to wire the msd to the nitrous it is a simple one wire setup, that does not include wiring the msd into your present ignition system. But that is a way to have the best of both worlds. hope this helps in some way.
