My next nitrous setup

Ok so I decided to go with nitrous on my B18B. I have a 91 Integra with a 99' LS motor I/H/E and a B16 tranny. A LS motor can handle a 75 shot correct? That would only be 200-205 WHP. I have heard of people with turbo LS' making 250+ HP on stock LS blocks. I will running a wet system too. I am trying to decide if I should keep the b16 tranny too. The gearing on it is short as hell. What about if I just put in a LS 5th gear would that change the final gear ratio on the tranny? Are the 1st-3rd gears the same on a b16 as a GSR? I looked at the sticky on trannys and it just confused me.

Yeah I know a couple people that have ran a 75 wet shot on stock Ls without problems probably what im going to do on my next project. Just up grade ignition type stuff plugs and wires and adjust timing a little you will be strait

an ls can handle a 75 shot without a problem as long as you do the typical nitrous changes. I.e...plugs, timing, etc. I would recommend changing the fuel pump out unless yours has been changed somewhat recently. If its the origianl pump its got 15 years of use on it and may not be up the the demands you need. Now, 200-205 wheel horesepower...i doubt it. On the motor only you are maybe putting 125 down..and a 75 shot isnt going to give you 75 horses at the wheels..you would most likely be in the 170 range at the wheels...

as far as your trans..fifth gear wont change the final gear ratio..jsut the ratio for that gear..if you change over the final drive that will change every gear. as far as ratios go..it depends on which year transmissions you are talking about..the newer or older b16 trans, the newer or older gsr...basically..the b16 has the shortest gears between b16/gsr trans. and no..the gearing for 1-3 is not the same.

b16 trans ratios

NX 75 shot jets give 75(give or take a couple) Holey and zex only give about 60 65hp on 75 shot NX owns all if you got wet or direct port. I wouldnt do dry shot its cheap and to unstable IMO uncontrolable people have different thoughts on it tough as ive seen

yea, drys great for a small shot..but you are relying on the fpr to put in the proper amount of fuel. you don't get much out of it and its too unreliable. Go wet and you'll make more power more reliably

Dry has worked well for me for a long time.took me down into the 13.20's on a stock block and stock head b16 with an ls trans. But I'm going wet because its safer and its going to put more power down. I'g going to drop a 75 wet on it, new fuel pump, lsd trans, bigger intake manifold and throttle body and take my car into the mid to low 12's.
