i'm having a "bullet broof" B20Z engine built as we speek.
it has custom 84.5mm JE forged pistons
eagle rods
vtec block girdle
stainless steel intake and echaust valves
plus a bunch of other goodies.........i also plan on running the zex kit starting off with the 55 shot and probably move up to 65 shot. not sure if i wanna run 75 yet.
anyway......i have a 8lbs aluminium flywheel mated to a Integra Type-R pressure plate and friction disc.
should i ditch the ITR clutch kit and get something that will handle more torque? or will this setup hold OK for now?
Originally posted by laughin2.2 You won't need a clutch until you use a 75 shot or more. Why don't you get a direct port kit? You're engine can easily take a 100+ shot.
Took the words right out of my mouth

nope......55-65.....maybe 75 tops...........try tuning a engine with 11.5:1CR and 100+ shot of spay............i'd rather not go through the problems that can occur especailly since this engine i'm building is costing me a fortune already......
i think i will change the clutch anyway.........a B20 makes pleanty of torque........adding some nitrious will make alot MORE torque........so i'm assuming the clutch will need to be pretty strong to hold it.........
Well I may not have a 11,5:1 compressinon but I know mine is up there considering I have a decked head aand ITR pistons. And I will have to admit tuning was a bitch but is very possible.
