NITROUS MOTOR BUILD !!! LOOK !!!
so im starting my nitrous motor build and hoping for it to be done at the end of winter.. im just thinking of what kind of set up i should go for, for the head and what compression i should go for, i already madea my mind up that im using my stock block, and just a regular wet shot set up prolly N.O.S.
my main questions are what kind of cam should i use? i want kind of a mild one(this will be like an everyday driver) for compression im thinking like 12.5 .1 il use forged rods. but ya and what kind of fuel set up should i have without messing with it to much?can i just get a nice fuel pump with some bigger injectors or do i have to get a fpr with a fuel rail?? i pretty much want to stay away from looking like i have a whole bunch of shit goin on with the car (sleeper looking) any setups anyone has done that worked well or is trying out just let me know whats up and what your thoughts are thanks so much

my suggestion with that high compresion your goin to have to go with any kind of wicked stage 2 / 3 cam..+
look into the skunk2's, rocket cams, or possible the toda's..cam choice isn't goin to really matter in a nitrous setup thats on a 12.0+ cr motor..
its goin to be the tuning look to be running bigger then 310 cc injectors, a walbro 255 fuel pump and alot of tuning, no reason to enlarge your fuel rail, your not a 800whp beast....dont waste ur money on the small shit u dont even need..
on top of that, the compression of that motor is alittle high to be spraying anything above a 75 shot
i have a stock type-r bottem end in which a 50-100 shot has been sprayed on and it holds fine, roughly 11.6~.8 compression..
I'm also running a fully built race head(jdm b18c) skunk2 stage 2 cams and it seems to run great.

ya thats what i plan on doing, i was thinking of getting a head package ffrom gude.so a compression like 11.5would be fine to spray close to 200? ps starting to think of that nitrous for turbo trade if that custom manifold comes with

uh no it dont, the lines are custom bent for a b16/itr / skunk2 intake manifold, underneath, it'll fit any manifold thats like a itr.

ya i later found out that to high of compression isnt all that great to spray a lot, so i would go to a 11.5:1 BUT! think of it this way... if you have a motor with 11.5:1 and your sprayin like a wet 100 shot and you make like280 to the wheels right, well when you build an all motor car the higher the compression the better.SOOOOOOO when u spray a wet 30 or 50 as you wer saying would be safe for a motor of that high of compression. i think it would = out on a dyno chart.. hard to explain i dont kno,
same motor everything is forged but the compession is diff, one motor lower compression on a lot of spray the other with high compression with a little spray.. dont you think the outcome would be about the same? this is just my guess though im just thinkin isn't that how it would kind of work out?

Nitrous doesnt blow motors. Bad tunes blow motors. The higher the compression the harder it is to tune.
Keep it simple cause nitrous isnt very forgiving of mistakes.

10-1 compression - forged rods and pistons - Good nitrous grind camshafts - High lift - low duration. 2 stage direct port(THE ONLY WAY TO SPRAY) - Wet kits wet the walls in the intake and run LEAN) 75 on the first and 150 on the second. Assuming you have a AWESOME fuel system already - HIGH FLOW PUMP and decent sized injectors for the engine to feed on when not on the juice. (It's amazing how many people forget the fuel pump in thier buildups) Some decent portwork and a performance valvejob. A MSD box might add more power and help keep the plugs firing. Of course your looking at BOOKOO BUCKS for all of this. But then you can claim your 350-400hp at the wheels. It would be driveable all day long at that CR. Of course this is OVERLY simplified but you get the picture.

You don't really want a cam with a lot of overlap like those...you're jsut going to be losing all of the cylinder pressure that you are trying to build..your 100 shot is going to end up being a 25 shot...

on a motor that is that far on the edge..you dont want the kit adjusting for you..you want to tune it properly with a wide band and a dyno to get the proper fuel mixtures
