Nos and boost

I've heard that if you boost a motor and put nos on it that it is very easy to blow or mess something up is this true? also is it good to have higher compression with nos?

i'll put it this way...nitrous doesnt blow motors..bad tuning and bad drivers blow motors.

there are a lot of cars running boost and nitrous...you jsut have a lot more tuning to do to dial it in to run right..you have to watch cylinder pressures closer, timing and fuel closer, etc. it can be done..but its not a simple..slap it on and make power kind of thing.

as far as high compression..nitrous loves high compression..and you can make a lot of power...but the problem you run into is in cylinder pressure and detonation...once again..takes a lot of tuning...and isnt simply a bolt it on and go kind of thing

Fuckin werd! Nitrous is pretty much just cold air it isnt flamable or anything its just jetting colder air and making a denser charge just tune it and dont use it unless you can drive you miss shift it might not fuck anything up put i aint good really easy to break shit if you dont know how to use it start at a lower shot like a 35 or 50 shot tell you get the hang of it

Cooling is only one benefit of N20. The cooling can be internal or applied externally to the aftercooler. The major benefit internally is it's a source of oxygen and requires more fuel resulting in more power.

yea it cools the charge air, but the nitrogen and oxygen molecules seperate resulting in more oygen for combustion and the nitrogen helps keep the combustion stable
