A Quick few Questions

Alright to start with, im still looking into gettting nitrous.. hopefully soon so im not off the whole gas idea yet.. and i basically got my biddie into thinking about doing in it his h22 lude... his question was, does the bottle HAVE to face foward.. cause he has a custom box in the trunk.. dum idea i think.. bu there is enough room to run a bottle side ways, but is that alright? and my question is.. will my D16Y8 keep running and not quit on me if i run a 30-50 dry shot.. im going to get colder plugs and maybe retard my timing.. but what do i need to check to make sure my engine is able to handle the nitrous? all my friends think im just going to blow my engine.. but i just turn to them and tell there g/f to blow me... hahah but honestly.. is it safe to run on a basically stock engine

Yeah its safe just dont go over a 50 shot on stock stuff. You shouldnt have to retard timing with a 50 shot and you could mount the bottle side ways doesnt really matter I wouldnt think if you got a bottle warmer sence it keeps psi up in a good range just make the bottle facing in a downward angle is what I would do.

your buddy can run the bottle which ever way he wants and he can spray a wet 150 shot if he wanted, he would just have to take the plugs out on some test runs and make sure hes getting enough fuel, as for your y8 motor the 30-50 dry shot will be fine and u wont evn have to take timing out, if u didn't already get a kit then i would just spend $75 more and go with a wet kit and then you can spray 75 shot on your motor, again make sure your getting enough fuel by checking the plugs and its doesnt hurt to go a little colder on a plug just NOT a hot plug that would be a NO NO.

well i lost my password and cant get it back, so this is the same user and Taylo_Made.. maybe you can see the sameness?( word? ) anyways thanks for the info, im not going to run a 75 shot.. too much for now.. but isint there more to do when you do a wet kit? cause then you have to hijack the fuel lines... i just want to keep it simple.. too me a 50 dry is just fine, but i'd like to hear why you beg to differ !

tapping into the fuel line is pretty easy theres a few ways to do it, so if u go with a wet kit i can let you know how to do tap in very easily. 50 shot inst much i had a dry 60 shot on my 97 civic hx pulled pretty nice but the stock clutch wasnt able to hold up well shifting into gears. so as long as you have a better clutch your good to run a wet 100 shot if you wanted. and to tell you the truth you'll have that dry kit in for about 2 weeks and you'll wanna up the shot, and when you up the shot your better off with a wet kit since its safer. dry kits are only good if your using it to spool a turbo with a dry 50 shot even tho i like the idea of spooling my turbo with a wet 100 shot

i dont see how a wet kit is safer.. and im on a tight budget, if i did a, say 60-80 shot wet, would i have to get a better fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator? or bigger injectors... i really dont want to buy a kit that i will just end up buying even more stuff for.. but i can see your point on after 2 weeks wanting more power

wet kits are safe because it mixes more fuel with it. if your going higher that a 75 shot then get a fuel pump its only 80 bux and thats a ll you will need and then you can run a 100 shot if u want

I think thats way to much for my stock D16, this has to be my daily driver, 60 shot would be lots... and im parking my car this winter. so i would be installing it this winter. so what other shit do i have to do.. the reason im asking all this is cause i dont wanna screw my car up.. and i want to be able to know what im getting into.. anyways... im going to be doing a compression test soon, and make sure that is all ligit. and then i duno, then read up on wet kits and install that shit

yeah its a good idea to check your compression if u got 185 across then A+++++ if its a lil off thats not bad, when it comes to nitrous your spark plugs tell you EVERYTHING you need to kno, once u get it spray it a couple times and then check the plugs see if there too wet or to dry then go from there.

The only defferenace in a wet short is it distributes the same amount of nitrous to each cylinder like derect port. With a dry kit you hook it up to your intake and some times 1 cylinder will get more juice then another witch makes you run lean. If you go to a 75 shot on a signle ignition , coils and retard your timing WET or DRY. Do not liscen to this guy he really has no idea what he is talking about and is giving advice that could blow your motor and other people reading this that acctually beleive him

dry= just nitrous no extra fuel added wet kit = one part fuel one part nitrous mixing at once, the only way you can get an even amount to each cylinder is if it is a direct port injection. and you must not have any idea how to tune for nitrous, i bet you dont even kno how many degrees to take out per amount your spraying. i kno so many people who spray a wet 100 shot on a 97 ex with no problems. when you tune your car for what it has everything works out alright if u want to be a lazy as fag and just throw a kit on and just say hey i got nitrous your an idiot. THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN BLOW YOUR MOTOR IS IF YOUR MIXTURE ISN'T RIGHT OR IF YOUR USING A BUTTON TO SPRAY, IF YOU HAVE A WAT SWITCH AND A WINDOW SWITCH A LIL EXTRA FUEL AND CHECK YOUR PLUGS TO MAKE SURE YOUR GETTING ENOUGH FUEL AND NOT TO MUCH YOUR FINE, fuck yes you will blow your motor if you slap a kit on there and not make sure everything is running correct. i hate people that think nitrous is going to blow your motor. again if u set it up wrong that yes something bad can happen. i will spray a d16 with over 100k on it with a wet 125 shot with just a fuel pump fpr wot switch and a window switch. you can suck my dick if u think i dont kno jack about nitrous. have you ever seen the video on streetfire of the kids that spray THE FUCK out of a d16 and they poor water into the motor and a whole bunch of shit and it last forever i dont think u have that much faith in honda's therefore you should pack up and leave this site.

p.s. learn how to a spell buddy
