rev limiter

Im planning on getting a dry kit b4 too long and know its horrible for the engine to hit the revlimit cuz it cuts off the fuel.
I can manage to shift before i hit 7k(stock redline is 6.5k), even though i try to shift around 6500 i can hear the fuel cut out once in a while.

Is there anyway i can change this so it wont cut off fuel w/o rechipping ecu or getting a new one?

And while im on the shifting subject, is it better to shift at the redline on my b18a or at like 6400 or sooner????

Thanks

One thing that pisses me off is that Nos never told me not to hit the rev limiter. I did it all the time, and commenced to blow a hole in one of my valves. They should put some sort of warning in the instructions. I learned the hard way. Soooo IMO when squeezing its a safe bet to shift early. With all motor, take it to just below rev limiter.

If you're worried about hitting the limiter on the spray, then get yourself a window switch, which will allow you to turn the nitrous off at a predetermined RPM(IE, say 100 RPM before the fuel cutoff). I would'nt recommend trying to bypass the fuel cutoff, as you might end up with a wrecked motor the first time you miss a shift.

You really shoudn't spew when you have NO idea what you're talking about. When it comes to a single nozzle in the throttle body, dry systems rule.

The kid at your school was stupid with his nitrous system, plain and simple. And in reality, a wet system has the potential to do more damage than a dry system when used in conjunction with an EFI upper intake manifold.

that kid at your school didnt know what he was doing. i was running a dry system for a long time and not to mention doing alot of damage on other cars with that dry setup. only setback on the dry system is you are stuck at 75 shots.but still good if you are looking for a little more powere from your engine.

yea this dude is a retard saying dry kits suck becuase whatever reason
as far as NOS not sending warnings about hitting the revlimiter with nitrous is becuase it should be assmued that not only is hitting fuel cut bad with nitrous , but its bad in general becuase it stops fuwel flow.
but thats assumign you have a limiter thats fuel limiting and not dropping spark . the ones that drop spark arent as hard on the motor, but still try to stay away from it.
