sniper wet kit?

does anybody know anything about the Holley/NOS Sniper kit? i can't find any information from anybody running it, and that kinda scares me. its half the price of the ZEX wet kit, and i know cheaper isn't better, but i'm also on a budget and i wouldn't want to spend half of my budget on nitrous when i could use that to build a better turbo kit. btw, engine is d16y7 w/ 100k miles.

i just talked to a tech support guy from Holley and he said that the kit is basically the same. he said the medical style bottle is the same style used by zex and that every company buys their fuel/n20 solenoids from 1 of 2 companies. a tps sensor/rev sensor box isn't included in the set but retails at $129. nitrous oxide systems has been around for a long time, why would the zex be twice the price of this system if everything is the same? i really don't understand does anyone have any clue about this system or know anyone who has ran/is running it?

It sounds like its the same thing as a regular Holley system..it sounds though that they are using a different style bottle in order to bring the price down..I dunno...But essentially it looks like a regular kit and would function the same as any other holley/NOS kit

It looks like the only differences are the bottle to bring the price down. For sure, the valve is a genric one and the composition is most likely a little cheaper. Oh yeah, they don't have a fuse for the switch, wow.

The difference is in the fuel enrichment. If I understand the zex kits right as the bottle changes pressure the kits "box" will adj fuel accordingly. So your not overly rich or lean. The sniper kit doesnt have that you just got whatever "jet" you have dropped in.

I was talking about the difference between the normal NOS system and the Sniper system. Yes, the ZEX system is better, but you would still be safe with the Sniper system as long as you take all the other precautions ie. colder plugs and backing off the timing. You shouldn't need a TPS sensor box because with the micro switch that is included the system will only activate when you have the switch on and you are at WOT. I would also get a higher flowing fuel pump if going with a wet system.

thanks for all of the replies guys. i'm currently trying to decide whether to turbo or put a n2o kit on my d16y7. if i buy the zex kit, i might as well boost the car with spending that much, but the sniper kit also isn't as smart as the zex kit (ie i wouldn't have to worry about running lean under 3k rpms and if/when i hit redline)... i don't know other than a b swap what are your opinions?
