im not sure about the laws now as they have changed stuff around over the last few years.
a policeman i know told me last year that it is ok as long as the lines arent actually conected. but if they are, the bottle can be opened/closed, empty or not even in the car you will be in trouble.
but about 2 weeks ago some dickhead pulled of my friend( he says he was posing a fire hazard cuz his hand was out the window with a cigarette: ) well anyway, this guy pulled him over nearer to ft lauderdale, and he was a miami beach policeman: . my friend knew the fool was just harassing him so he waited it out. now as to the nitrous this officer let him go bcuz the bottle was closed. so i dont know exactly what the laws are, but hope that little info can help.

i asked my neighbor he's like old school street racer and Florida High way patrol he says that you can have a nitrous system the thing is you have to keep it in the trunk it cant be with you in the cabin and if your pulled over you better have it closed because if you dont then they think that your running nitrous on the highway.
