will paint chip on my aem cai?

hey guys i have a 98'accord (f23a) i was wondering if there is any problem with chipping of the paint when drilling for the nossle. if so, how to avoid, thanks.

no it wont, i drilled mine in the bottom of my intake, just in case and for stealthier look

yea, thats what i have been thinking about doing. its gonna hurt to drill into my intake with that sweet blue paint.

llewsirc is an unknown quantity at this point
if you are worried about it you could put some masking tape on the intake before you drill, i hear this helps with chipping and you are less likely to slip with the drill ( scratching your intake up)

thats a good idea, i'm gonna drill on the under side to, but i'll definately use the tape, how tight are those bolts when installted properly, does any air(pressure drop) escape at all?

na it shouldnt . at leas tmine didnt, even if it did it wouldnt be noticeble, but you could like use some kind of silicone on the outside of the mounting bolt thingy. . . sorry i forget the name of that piece. . . but you can seal up the outside to make you feel better
