Tire VIS Carbon Fiber Hood OEM: 92-96 4g Prelude

Large Detailed Version

I got this hood for around $350 from a local shop in town. Fitment is pretty good. Fiber is laid ok, I would like perfect...but I see a lot of hoods with the ripple effect in the weave. Its hard to notice at some angles and lights. But it looks good, good color and ok gel / clear coat.

I have applied some polish to it after awhile and this has really brought things out. Highly reccomend this after a month or two of just washing.

Price: $350.
Quality: Grade A
Features: Exoskeleton, washer holes, rolled edges, grade A hood.
Rating: B

Very few hoods are solid CF. These hoods (and most others in the US market) are a layer of CF laid up in a mold, with several layers of fiberglass reinforcing it. Rarely will you find a hood made entirely of carbon fiber; it's unnecessary for street and/or light track use, and they'd run you an easy $1000+
