Advice on spraying down a clear coat

I need some advice on doing the clear coat on my bumper, the last time I did it on my hood it came out all shitty and uneven probably because it was hard to see, whats the best way to spray it if there is one.

This is being done with a spray/rattle can too btw.

i did a spraybomb clearcoat once.......once. doesnt look or hold up as well as a regular ppg or dupont clear, but my buddy did his sideskirts with dupli-color truck and suv clear coat in a rattlecan and it looked good. he just waited till each coat dried and used a scotchbrite pad between coats....but i have no clue how long it will hold up with pa's winters
