coolpapa is an unknown quantity at this point
this could be answered many ways. the main thing to know is that you get what you pay for. body shops generally, depending on how big or well known they are, should have the ability to either set up you with a paint job of urethane enamel, usually basecoat/clearcoat(the top of the line route) or to your basic single stage enamel(a basecoat with added hardner to give it a glossy finish). depending on the shop, the price will vary. your best bet on that is to find a reputable shop and ask questions, which types of paint they use and the cost level of each. they usually will give you a fairly close estimate for what you want done. Now, as far as the color goes, that choice should be up to you, make it a color YOU want, you'll be looking at it everyday and any choice you make except a puke green or electric lemon yellow should look good on your car. hope this helps some in your decision!

Its true you do get what you pay for.Single stage enamels are rarley used in shops these days unless requested, and do not provide as good as a finish as a base/clear. I would not recomend that.

If your going to be purchacing the material yourself there are alot of great quality, afforadable systems you can go with. Duponts lower line is Nason. Fore basecoat(the color) these will save you some money and give the same results as a higher priced base(R&M,PPG,etc.) as long as it is used properly, as with any automotive refinish product.

Look at base as the color. All your trying to achive with the base is the desired color. The money should be spent on a good qaulity clearcoat. Clearcoat will give you the look and duribility of the entire job.

But as always prep work is the number one most important factor. You could spend thousands of dollars on a paint job, and if the prep work is not done correctly it doesnt matter how high a quality product you bought.

I agree in asking questions, looking for a reputiable shop, ask to see some of there work, systems they use.
