Painting my Tail lights

Ok i searched the forum under "painting lights" "painting tail lights" and just "tail lights"...nofin. So heres the deal, i have those ugly altezza lights on the back of my teggy...iono what the hell i was thinking when i got em, years ago. Anyway i've miss placed my stock ones, so i want to paint the inside of my tail lights.



not the outside cover, but the chrome part in the back. Can anyone tell me what kind of paint i'm going to need to get? Also how do you take apart the tail light once its off the car? Thanks guys!

sweet, thanks man. But considering i want them black i bet i could put masking tape over the part where the light comes through and just paint the rest of the tail and it'll still look good?

did you ever end up painting the tails? how did it turn out?

I used transparent film on my tailights and it turned out really well I can try to post pics tommorow if your interested.

use a heat gun, open them up, (high temp can't hurt), use silicon or urethane sealer, close em up.
or jsut trash em for some stock red lenses.....
