13 sec 6th gen accord..WHAT route to take??H22a/F23

hey

ok...i am getting ready to buy a new car, and i want an accord but i want it to be able to get into the 13's...here are my options...you pick whats best..

*KEEP IN MIND ALL OPTIONS WILL EVENTUALLY BE BUILT AND TURBO'D!!!

also keep in mind that i am doing all this with prelude trannies b/c i have heard if i want to get into the 13's the accords tranny will not hold up...is this true????

OPTION 1: 98 accord I4/5SPD w/ around 35K/miles, and swap H22/23 tranny...

OPTION 2: 98 accord I4/5SPD w/ very high miles, swap new F23 engine, and H22/H23 tranny...

OPTION 3: 98 accord I4/5SPD w/ very high miles, swap H22/23 engine and tranny.

other options if i dont want to do the accord...but not likely

OPTION 4: 240 SX, maybe SR20DET
OPTION 5: INTEGRA LS...PPPPPPSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTT.....

i know these cars are more likely to make faster cheaper...but i like the looks of the accord and the interior is so clean!

also here is a price key...
low milage accords with 35-45k/mi will prob run around $13-14k
high milage accord with 70K-above/mo will prob run $9-10k

also...how can do all this work for the 6th gen accord...does anyone know of anybody that has done turbo or h22a swap work on 6th gens????PLEASE LET ME KNOW...i need to decide what i am going to do to a car before i decide on what car to get..
PLEASE LET ME KNOW ANY ADDITIONAL INFO ABOUT H22a swaps and tranny swaps..it will be greatly appreciated! i have searched all types of boards and have found a little but not enough to say that its going to be easy and a worry free swap...let me know what yall think..thanx
Jon

The Non VTEC H22 engine is the better choice closed deck.

f series

id go with the f23 with h23 tranny cuz if you are going to turbo it, its already a good engine for it cuz its sturdy with low compression, but you said you would do engine work on it so mayb go with the h22 cuz youd put low compression pistons and shizzle on it....with a low compression h22 with a built engine, you should be hittin looow 14's, and maybe even a 13.99 but if you cant get there, just shoot some nos and youll be runnin 13's in your sleep. also, weight reduction is a key, my accord weighs like 2900 lbs, haha

no such thing. youre thinking of an h23.

i read your thread on h-a.net.
youre just trying to find stuff to blow money on huh? youd be spending an immense amt of money trying to get a 6th gen to hit 13's. even with an astronomical budget, chances are youre not getting it done with an f23. youd have to swap, and do complete weight reduction which would include fully gutting it and replacing parts with lighter pieces, and im not talking just a hood. with all this why even bother getting an accord.

your best bet would be the ls-turbo without a doubt. with a proper turbo setup, and good fuel management you may be able to hit 13's without even rebuilding most of the internals. you also wouldnt have to spend half as much.

in other words, unless youve got an limitless source of funds it would be idiocy(sp?) to go with a 6th gen accord.

Option 4

The Sr20det is meant for turbo, and can run somewhat high boost on stock internals.

Pretty much, even if you swap a motor into an accord and even build it, your not going to hit 13's w/o some sort of turbo or Forced induction.

So, if not option 4, just find the cheapest 6th gen accord possible(high miles), build the F23, and turbo it.
