I have seen lots of threads on this. Performed the procedure to clean the egr port, (did it 24,000 miles back and all was good) code cleared after I unhooked negative battery cable. Check engine light came back next day, performed the reseat of fuse #12. Code cleared for like almost 2 days. Check engine light back on today. Is it possible the egr valve really needs replaced? I don't know, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

While you could clean the hell out of the valve with the above reference video. The plunger in the valve could've failed. Drive vehicle for at least 200 miles and see if the ecu recalibrate itself. if not you might need a new or another used EGR valve.
