here's the beginning of my journey into relatively new with the last photos of the F23A1 right before i start the tear down phase the "sleeper" project. My wifes real dad must feel bad for not being in her life and decided to let me use his shop and tools in my own bay. i appreciate him doing that because now i should be able to completely finish the project in well less than 30 days(airtools rock!) i will continue to update with pics and progress step by step as this motor is eased out and the new one eased in. thanks to all that show interest and follow me along in what is something i consider to be kinda special because this is the furthest i'm going with any car mechanically. my only concern right now is the s matic auto the engine comes with, do i find a prelude gear shift which should allow the use for manual shifts or (if i even can) bypass the s matic and use the stock gear shifter as is ignoring the s matic capabilities the tranny offers. i guess i will address the prob after i get everythin in and ready to go.
once again thanks to all who give a shit

well, i'm gonna see if i can use the injectors for my integra, i'll also be using the crank pulley off of it so i can have power steering and of course using the power steering pump since jdm version uses different style of power steering, also the harness is getting used for new motor. prob gonna sell what's left and try to make back some of the money i had to borrow from motherinlaw

alright, i've talked to local shops about wiring this thing up. they said use f20b ecu with my existing harness and they will add what needs to be added and lengthen what needs to lengthened to make the harness work with the motor and ecu. they said it's really not a big deal once the motor is in and the thing is ready to roll. they could wire it up and it would be fine. my wife is starting to freak saying i don't know what i'm talking about(which is kinda true, since i've never actually done this) and now she thinks i'm going to fuck this up. but i've read up on it enough and asked the right people the right questions about this, i've emailed countless places who wire, who sell obd2a/b adaptors people who actually swap motors out, you name it i've done it. am i really in over my head here? i have a genuine auto mechanic helping me take the old one out and put the new one in and hooking up what we can hook up, i'm taking it to a local jdm shop to wire the harness( they have a good rep) is there something i'm missing here? the motor drops right in uses the same crank pulley, axles, alt, and the powersteering bracket holes are right on q. what am i doing so wrong that would make her question this, NOW? after i bought the fucker after she SHE said yeah go for it all excited. i'm not saying its going to be easy but i picked a motor that is the closest thing to an exact match to her car as i could get. venting again

she just stresses me out to no end. i swear she thinks i'm this giant hairy fuck up. i admit i have bad luck. but i'm in no way stupid. i did my homework before i gave the go ahead on this project, with the exception of tools which i was able to work out yesterday
honestly, sounds like you are prepared, you have a mechanic to help, everything bolts in no problem, and you are using honda, so it should be fairly painless. tell her if she freaks out any more she is gonna have her car riced out can you say bright orange with a huge aluminum wing? lol
