my uncle has a 93 accord se,i what 2 buy it from him but I need a little info on it.It has 100,000 miles and it's a 4 door, every thing works on, but the back windows do not roll down.HE going 2 sell it 2 me for 2500,good or bad.also what kind of HP does it have.
agreed, that is a great price for an se. check to see if the rear windows have been set to not roll down, child safety or something, i dont remember if the 4th gens have this?!?!
do you all no how much HP does it have,i drove it yesterday and is very peppy not a fast as my teg but pretty fast. it looks great new paint job it runs like a champ.if i do buy i'm going 2 put a new timing belt on it,change the oil and tranny oil.
i think the 93 ex has around 125 hp. i am guessing the se would also be in the neighborhood. i have a 93 ex with 77,000 miles on it and it runs great, planning on driving it for a year more till i graduate college then i am gettin a jeep wrangler :
I remember i bought one back in '92 when they were brand new, and the SE model was specially tuned to put out an extra 10hp over the EX. I bought it in Auto.
The LX came with 125hp, the EX had 130hp and the SE had 140hp. The Accords had the 2.2L, which put down more torque than the 1.8L Tegs between the 90-93 years, making it feel smoother and stronger. For that generation that was the top of the line. Even tho i had prefered the 5spd manual, the automatic shared the same performance of the manual due to the shorter final drive ratio. I use to race the Manual EX and it would be an even race up until 90mph where i would gain on them. Surprising, but true.

True, you right as i remember now. My friend had the same engine code on the 92 ex as my old 93 SE. i think the intake manifold was different for those models. It came with dual running manifold, which was a pre-VTEC technology. The second part of the manifold would open at a certain RPM bringing more a larger volume of air into the engine increasing torque and HP output. I remember researching this info looong time ago....lol I use to love that car.
thanks fellas,WOW 140 thats pretty dam good.i new it was very peppy,ya it's going 2 be my wifes car but i will have my fun in it 2.good thing she loves performance parts.
