I remember i bought one back in '92 when they were brand new, and the SE model was specially tuned to put out an extra 10hp over the EX. I bought it in Auto.

The LX came with 125hp, the EX had 130hp and the SE had 140hp. The Accords had the 2.2L, which put down more torque than the 1.8L Tegs between the 90-93 years, making it feel smoother and stronger. For that generation that was the top of the line. Even tho i had prefered the 5spd manual, the automatic shared the same performance of the manual due to the shorter final drive ratio. I use to race the Manual EX and it would be an even race up until 90mph where i would gain on them. Surprising, but true.

Good deal at $2500. Buy it.

True, you right as i remember now. My friend had the same engine code on the 92 ex as my old 93 SE. i think the intake manifold was different for those models. It came with dual running manifold, which was a pre-VTEC technology. The second part of the manifold would open at a certain RPM bringing more a larger volume of air into the engine increasing torque and HP output. I remember researching this info looong time ago....lol I use to love that car.
