What about the throwout bearing? Just a thought I just did my clutch and the technician that helped me (honda technician) said to make sure the bearing is replaced or it could cause problems.

Erm, reverse doesn't have syncros..(does it?!) Thats why if your moving and you stick it in reverse it grinds. Your gear was probably messed up from someone grinding it.

Did you put your clutch in yourself? If not I would be having a talk with my mechanic.

I thought throwout bearings came with a clutch kit?

You can tell if its worn just park by a wall where its quiet, roll down your window and listen. Put the car in neutral and push the clutch in, and let it out, you'll be able to easily hear a bad bearing.

Transmissions I think are kind of hard to figure out the problems I would actually take the car in and ask a honda mechanic.
