far better.
THe 94 EX is a sweet car. I miss mine
You get all the options - power everything, sunroof, windows, mirrors, steering, ABS, 4 wheel discs, etc...
A big one is that you get Vtec and 15 extra hp and ft/lbs - car's pretty quick for a full sedan. And the f22b1 comes with a dual tipped exhaust - a nice little touch
And you get the nice 7-spoke wheels. The EX looks a little better too because the trim is painted all the way around - door rails and mirrors. Adds some class.
The 1994 EX was that car you may have heard of that some guy owned and put a million miles on it by 2001. Honda bought it back from him at MSRP to rip it apart and analyze it; but it was still going strong. That was a black 94 EX 5spd - same as mine.
The only things that went wrong with mine were the power antenna cable snapping and the power windows slowing down - neither of which is uncommon on a honda. A little silicone lube heped the windows but I would have had to swap out the whole antenna unit.
There was a recall on some bearing seal - I forget which, but it's a free fix. And the abs fluid block had a leak that I think was a recall too - quick fix at any shop; they just need to put some stuff called "Honda Bond" in a set screw that forms an 'L' for the fluid path.
The EX is the shit.

It doesn't even really count as a decision. The only reason to go for the LX is to save some money...but you get so much more for the little extra that it's definitely worth it.
Buy it, then buy an H22 and you'll have a sweet ride
I love mine. It's a really nice car. The problems I've had with it were: power door locks malfuctioning (common), master brake cylinder goes bad. That's it, I believe. It's a really nice car that drives nice and of course has the VTEC engine. I say go for it.
