you're not planning on using a 5th gen 'Lude auto tranny, are you?

holy shit... think again man... go read a little about these things in the 'Lude forum...

you do not want to put that thing in your car. If you've already got a drag car, then why waste the money putting that swap into your DD... especially if it's gonna be auto??

yeah, no doubt it'll fit... but damn man, those things suck.

they just plain suck. they're so prone to failure it's not even funny. go read some about them in the 'Lude forum... you're just gonna have problems with it, guaranteed.

i dunno, it just seems like a whole waste of time and money to me to go to all the trouble of swapping an H22 into an accord just to make it automatic, especially when using one of the worst auto trannys honda ever designed.

why not just leave the F22 in there so you can daily drive it and spend three grand on something else?

stick w/ the 4gen lude's h22 tranny. the 5gen auto is gonna be a bitch to wire up w/ the tiptronic shizzle. but i dunno why you'd wanna keep it auto. i changed my accord out w/ an MT and i live in socal where the traffic is worse. traffic is a sorry excuse. the only valid reason to stay auto was from a member who lost a leg in an accident.

94 Honda Accord H22 Swap

Thanks for the advice on will it work or not.
I own and run My Own garage. H22 Complete that i ripped from 25k Prleude that was t-boned & total cost me nothing but time that took to cut the front clip off. So i just wanted something a little diffrent that was auto i'm not worried about how weak the tranny is, MY RACE CARS ARE DSM 1g AWD , so i do no about weak trannys....
Thanks for the positve feed back..

cars that only go straight are not race cars. machines, yes, but not race cars. despite having awd, those dsm's suck ass in the handling dept.

matter of opinion.

IMO any car ran in class of sanctioned body (i.e BOTI, NDRA, NHRA) is a race car in my eyes.

road courses are cool and all but its not everyone's cup of tea, especially for most hondas except for me maybe running through some twisties and canyons. but that doesnt mean honda's cant be competitive on road course style races, check out this turboed thats right TURBOED honda at an HPDE road race event http://cs.widener.edu/%7Eepanek/Watk...ept%2027th.mpg.

cars were made w/ a wide steering input. a purposeful dragging machine has a limited input.

buying a light chassis honda originally equipped with a 1.5/1.6L motor and swapping it out with a 2.2L motor, increases the drag output and decreases the steering input... but 80% of all honda tuners do this.
