hi, so i'm driving my car and stop off at a small store and go to open my door, and guess what...my door didn't open..i checked to see if it was locked but nope, i tried opening it from the outside but she dont open...so i tracked down to the latch..but the question is how do i get the door open so i can repair it? anyone know?
well, my only solution is to drill the latch out, but there's one problem..i can only see 2 of the 3 bolts that hold it in place...any possible way i can drill the 2 out and pry to break the 3rd bolt?
basically the door is stuck closed...it's not locked, doesn't open from the inside or out..i think the latch is 100% seized..for what reason..i don't know why
If you don't know what to do then try this, take apart the passenger side door and examine how the latch works, attempt to use a slimjim on the door while watching what you are doing, if its possible try to open the drivers side the same way.
Even if this doesn't work taking apart the passenger side door may shed some light on the subject. Which may possibly give you enough insight to get your driver side door open and fix the stuck door problem.
You could always bet a repo man that they can't open you door with a slimjim and watch them try :P
**edit** If you rods were in place and the latch mech was fubar and froze up you wouldn't be able to lift or pull the latch handles without them having a great ammount of resistance.

thats your only answer, seized. If no help, i suggest you pay honda 55.00 diagnoise fee and have them pop it open and see whats wrong then you can go from there yourself.

Your door latch is seized. Here is a link from another site on how to fix it. This happened to me last year and I followed this to fix it. Honda quoted me at $700 to fix. They tend to fail every now and again.
