H22 swap...
Sup, guys! I have a 93 Accord EX and am looking to do an H22 swap. Here's what I know so far:
The H22 is easier to swap in the 4th gen chassis like mine, with direct fit engine mounts, and you dont have to swap out the 6 and 11 pins on the ECU. I also heard the horror stories about the auto tensioners goin bad on the H22, so if I decide to do the swap, thats the first thing Im gonna replace.
Here's what I need to know:
Do I use the Prelude's downpipe and cat? What about the cruise control? Also I have an automatic tranny, so will my flywheel work with that motor? And would it be better to just use the Prelude's ECU?

Any info will be great. Thankz, guys!
thread merged with the thread you should have read first.
1) use prelude downpipe and bolt it to your cat. reweld flanges to make fit.
2) prelude and accord flywheels are the same
3) prelude ecu = prelude fuel map. not having the right air-fuel mixtures can lead to engine damage.

Nulla tenaci invia est via. For the tenacious, no road is impassable.
I have a 1991 Accord w/ '93 H22A1 installed. Upon warmup it revs up and down, the IACV was replaced, but it still does it.
Will the Apex V-AFC II fix this problem? I haven't installed this yet, but am hoping to do more research before installing it. Is the tuning set for the certain vehicle, or does the user have to create a map for it?
If I have posted in the wrong place, and you know of a better spot for it, please let me know where I should post.
the thread does tell you. you haven't read it. i know for a fact it's in here because i put an h22 into my 6gen accord and wrote a writeup in this thread.

VAFC will not fix your problem. Check you CEL codes first!

read this entire thread and use the search function. because the answer is yes and your next question will be how is it done...which is a more involved answer and you will need to search for it in this thread.
edit:
did you even read the FIRST post?

So why is a good swap?
It is a direct bolt in replacement for our f22/f23 engines. Even the transmission can be used independent of the motor type. H22 motor can bolt to a f22 tranny and vice versa.
