Yes it is a royal pain. A lot of parts, a lot of money. It's not worth it. ABS is something for people who don't know how to drive :P You could always just pull over when it rains

Where at in Malaysia are you from? I'm up in Ipoh several times a year. Well, during the week I'm in Ipoh, on the weekends I'm up at Samila Beach in Songkhla(about 40km past Hat Yai) visiting my girlfriend I also have some friends in PJ and a long time friend in JB that I visit when I go.

The funny thing is I've been going there for years, and I'm still scared every time I drive, you guys drive CRAZY.

WTH??? The older I get the slower my cars are getting

Some Previous Rides: 91 3G Lude Built H23 with T3/T04e, 88 Guards Red 930 Turbo Slantnose(AKA the ticket magnet), 53 Bel Air 502 with an 8-71 and juice. Quite a few others, but not enough room. Oh an 01 V6 Accord too, probably how I got that funny title.

haha we drive crazy? maybe.. but i am used to it its normal for me lol. anyway where are you from? i am from JB as well. Perhaps the roads here are not as big/wide as the roads in your country ya so.. sometimes it does scare me a lil i admit

about the abs thingy.. i think i better forget bout it. but people tend to say pump the brakes, its the same but in my opinion, during an emergency, as in a real emergency, human reaction is to slam the brakes, jamming the wheels, thus sending the car outta control.. do you guys go for trainin or sumthin ?

I'm from California US, my company has a plant up in Ipoh so I go there regularly. Our highways are the same, it's when you get into town that really scares me. In Malaysia people don't really use the lines in the road as law, they are just kind of suggestions Also we don't have scooters(the little motorbikes) everywhere. In the US there's probably 1 of them for every 100,000 cars.

Most of our cars come with ABS these days. In an emergency ABS is good to have because you don't have to think, just jam the brakes as hard as you can and steer out of it. Without ABS you just have to practice and learn to pump the brakes, that means jam on the brakes, then let off a little so you can steer, then apply brakes again, repeat. It would be cheaper to trade your car in on one with ABS than to install it yourself even considering how expensive car are there. To install it yourself you'd need the ABS actuator, sensors, the computer, all kinds of lines, just a real pain. Yes it is safer in general, but it's not necessary.

If you want ABS, I'll trade cars with yout he next time I'm over there. My company bought us a Gen2 and I HATE that thing. I'd rather drive a non ABS civic than the Gen2 any day.
