how do you know if you have air in your brake system?

im pretty sure i dont, just got done changing pads and it was easy. but i want to make sure thereis no air in the system. how mushy shuld the pedal be?

The pedel shouldn't be mushy at all. Once I had bleed my brakes and was in a rush so I didn't quite do a good job. It was mushy as hell, just make sure it feels almost the same as it did before you changed your brakes if it feels mushy or you have to push it in further than you usually would I'd sugguest you re-bleed them.

Well, you'll know if you have air in your brake system if you push your brake pedal and you don't feel your brakes working. Also, a pulsing braking system (not like ABS turning on) can be from air in the system. I think you'll know clearly when you have air in the system. But unfortunately, you may not find out until it's too late and cause an accident. You can try rebleeding the brakes with new fluid just to make sure.
