how much to paint engine bay?

ok i'm paintin my car soon me and my buddy and were not going to do the engine bay just cause it would take too much time to pull engine, etc. I was just wonderin if anyone would know a price for a shop to paint just the engine bay?

i dont' think anyone would be able to give you a price on this =( every shop will be different adn a lot of factors will play into this question, the amount of shops in your area that will pull the engine and just paint the engine bay could raise/lower the price, depending on weatehr you have a personal friend who knows how to pull the engine and paint the bay could be another factor, i think your best bet would be to shop around, but be very specific with shops on what u want done, i know in NJ some ppl just dont' understand what u want done!!

it cost me $3

a bottle of high temp, hi gloss spray paint while doing my motor swap and now i have a blue engine bay hehehe (car used to be green)

The shop I usd to work at wouldnt do it. We had a few people that wanted it done, but for the amount of time to pull the engine (not to mention liability of breaking something) and clean the grease, prep and paint we couldnt ask for the amount that it would be worth, so we just never did it.

You would have a better chance getting it done if you took the car to them with the engine already out.
