i have a cd5 with and a h22 swap with a form and function 2 drop but there are factory height and my down pipe keeps bottoming out ............... some one told me something about a washer trick to stop this......does anyone know about this or have info on this trick
You have a Form And Function Type II coilover suspension installed. You kept the ride height the same as factory springs, but your suspension bottoms out.
Washer trick? I have not heard of this.
Show pics of your car. If you are bottoming out at factory ride height, either you are hitting 4" deep potholes, running 55 MPH through a speed bump, or your struts are blown. If you are lower than factory ride height, you are more likely to hit your bump stops.
wow....wow you much be running 11" wheels....jk but how are you hitting at factory ride hieight? that shouldn't even be possible unless the installation of your motor positioned you downpipe absurdly low. do you have pics of your car just sitting stationary?
Oh yeah. The H22 swap may put the block lower, thus the exhaust manifold is lower and the down pipe is lower. You could get someone to fabricate a new downpipe that goes between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic convertor so the drop isn't so low. I don't know, that might not be doable. You need to take pics under your car.
