Sounds fine to me man, you do whatever you think looks good and fuck the haters. Gold and black is a good color combo, even if it does make me think of the college team I hate the most

I was hoping he was being facetious about that, but there was no or to indicate that so who knows, maybe he was serious. You are correct about gold being pretty gay...not a very sporty color. Now if you're talking "Top Secret" gold that's another story - not that I'd rock that color either (unless it were on a Top Secret built car )

Like I said, if you're sticking with the gold "hotness" than black would be the only good accent color I can think of at the moment. I don't know how "deep" of a dish you're really going to be able to put on the Accord, deep dish rims are really meant for rwd cars more than fwd - not that it can't be done or anything...

Don't know if it'll equal sexiness, but it should look pretty good for a gold four door accord. As for the paint, call some local body shops and get quotes. Black is one of the easiest and cheapest colors to do so you got that going for ya. Depends on where you go, what type of paint they use, and how good the quality of their work is...shouldn't be too expensive though for just a lip kit

Unless the whole car is done and always kept in a polished/waxed state I think a CF hood would be a waste of time, without them being crisp and clean they seem to look ghetto to me. Like you dropped all that money on a nice hood and the rest of the car is lacking in cosmetics.
It doesn't matter what kinda car you got if its not clean and taken care of its not sexy.
I'd do this first, Elbow grease + Kit scratch and haze remover: over the entire car, freshen up that paint real good.
Be careful getting your car painted. Lots of places now a days will cost out the ass and do a piss poor job. I know a few people who have had paint jobs done to their cars and been unsatisfied with the work.

I feel that; that's why I'm glad I've got a friend who does paint and bodywork at a dealership by my house. If I ever need something done I'll just take it to him...
x2 on the if it's not clean and taken care of it's not sexy

Personally I wouldn't want to paint a car unless it was stripped down to the metal/primer(which I'd probably do myself). I'd want the car taken apart to be painted, at least the panels and bumpers. If I was actually changing the color of the car you wouldn't be able to tell it was another color no matter where you looked at it. That kind of time costs out the ass. Probably looking at 5k+ to get a paint job like that done.
I'm particular about paint, I debated about getting my hood and front bumper resprayed, but it may not match correctly against the rest of the cars older paint. Last thing I would want to be doing is detailing the car and see a unmatching paint job.
If your paint doesn't feel softer than a babys ass you better go back to detailing it. Use rain-x on a window, if your paint doesn't feel like that after a session of detailing it... you have failed to make your car "sexy".
