Husky floor jack question

Has anyone in here owned husky floor jack? I just got it at Home Depot for 40 bucks. Here is the link

Husky 3 Ton SUV Jack - T82503H at The Home Depot

I thouht when lower it down, I have to turn the handle like other brands but it's not. I have to turn the small valve on the jack (not the handle) by hand and the car went down FAST. I don't feel it's safe because your hand gets very close to the car when it went down. May be I am missing some thing here.

And the manual is very bad, only few lines on a small piece of paper with no pics. Bought it because for my Pilot also

I use to have one like that and it went down fast to but it used the bar to crank it up also to reach in and switch it down.

you should be able to put the handle on the valve so you can turn it without being under the car

You're right. Lower it by using handle as a key on the valve. Thanks.
