i almost had an orgasm after putting on my header ...
My new Airmass header has been the best purchase of my car. I felt the difference right away. I just have that extra pull in the higher rpms. And this is without the high-flow converter. I just wanted to see what it felt like before and after. Overall, though, just wanted to say that I am most impressed with the header, more than the intake, cat-back exhaust, and ignition that I have.

i was impressed with my airmass "thundermuff" catback exhaust, so i figured why not go with the header, too. how is the dc sports? i just love driving on the highway to work now. on ramps
So you had an orgasm after putting on your header, imagine what you'd get if you put on a turbo. I too am looking into a header, i'm not sure what i'll go for. Most like DC Stainless Steel.
i got my dc header but havent put it on yet. I am delaying because i need to know if you guys replaced the gaskets. i dont think any came with mine. if you did where did you get them.

hey, the reason that u feel the big gain is probably cuz that was the last piece of yoru cars breathing system, i mean, exhuast does a little bit by itself, intake does a little bit by itself, same with headers, but when all 3 are done, and the whole thing is opened up, there should be a big difference,

the only thing about the turbo is that i would need something to strengthen my tranny. i emailed levelten.com and they said i would need a whole new transmission, but that could just be them trying to sell something.
the fmax guy just said that i would need a torque converter and lower boost.

you use the existing gasket for the engine to the manifold ...
if it is a two-piece header, they should have provided gaskets for the connection of the two pieces.
hey i too have been looking onto headers. is it ok to get a good set of headers yet have everything else stock? i dont need race car performance but some extra power would be nice. is this one u got loud and rough?

I dont think the different brands really make that much of a differnce. My friends a pretty good driver and all and he never really took me to school. When he beat me it was only by a car length.
So go figure. I almost think that car brands are like clothing brands. People pay for name brands when some no name brands are just as good.

my car was loud enough before the header. the header makes it a little louder, but it is better, meaning it is a little deeper and less whiny. getting a header with everything else stock would be fine, i guess.

actually, you are supposed to use the old one, so be careful not to damage it when removing the stock exhaust manifold.

Just hope I don't 8====D ~~~~ while I'm getting on the freeway.
I've seen accounts of stainless headers to actually split and crack due to the heat... yes, the DC Sports one. That's why I opted to get a ceramic coated DC Sports... has anyone else had or heard of this happening to stainless headers. :
