KYB AGX over rated?

Most accord peeps ive met suggest getting the KYB AGX shocks. They seem recomended alot but then i come across people that say not to get them that there over hyped and not worth the money to just get the biltsteins or save up more and get the yellows. I know that the yellows are alot better but what about the biltsteins. How do they self adjust as they say?

so for those that have had the agx on your kords what springs to you have them mated with and what how is ride comfort with them

Got a set, they are alright, but bilsteins are way stiffer at max.

ive got eibach sportlines on my agx's, and the ride is pretty firm-im happy with it so far and have no complaints-kyb agx's is probably the best bang for your buck, but koni yellows are def. good-even better are tiens, but they dont come cheap

you can find illuminas for ~380 shipped on ebay, which is very comprable to the price of the agx's, and a much better strut.

The yellows usually go for at least 100 more than the illuminas.

If you don't do a lot of racing or any racing, and don't need the extra height adjustability of the yellows, the illuminas are a great value, especially for the extreme drops.

basically like agx's...with ride/comfort adjustability, but more suited towards lower drops (I also believe their lifetime warranty covers extreme drops, whereas agx's only cover drops of 1.5 and above). Illuminas are a great alternative to yellows, and are priced nicely if you don't do racing or, like I said, need the extra +/- .5 inches height adjustment that the yellows offer.

You can't go wrong with illuminas or bilsteins, but for the price, the illuminas are my choice.

wow how'd ya manage to blow the illuminas? Or was it just regular wear? Never heard that before.

But again, if you're under a 1.5 inch drop, then agx's would be fine, since the warranty is covered. If you're lower, you're gonna have to go with illuminas or koni yellows if you want a decent ride and still have the warranty.

sounds like an install problem.....anyways, i know this has been covered already....but whatever, this is also a non-tech kinda question.
