I am hoping you guys can help me out. I have a 7th generation Honda Accord Ex-L (automatic, 4-cyl) that the battery is going bad. The manual specifies the following for the battery:

12 V 36 AH/5 HR or 12 V 38 AH/5 HR

I am not sure which I should get. Also, it does not tell me the battery group that I need to buy. Can you please recommend me a replacement battery (and brand)?

Thanks.

if you goto the autoparts store they will recommend a battery based on your car model. if you aren't doing anything special just get a regular battery in your price range. duralast is an ok brand, I've had a few and they lasted pretty well.

If you have an I-4 I highly recommend switching to a normal size V6 Accord battery! For $30-$40 in parts to switch over it is well worth it.
