Replacing CV axle on 86/89 Accord

I broke a passenger side cv axle on my 86 Honda Accord in a figure 8 race this weekend and need help swaping one over from my 89 Accord. I've tried to break the nut loose in the center of the hub and it won't go. Any help in replacing these axles would by greatly appreciated. Thanks

How in the hell did you do that jackass? Ive done about 3905349294239 axle swaps and have never had that problem ever even with 1/2 impact which I usually didn't need anyways. I guess someone should start buying snap-on

So what tool do you use to pop the axle out, that was a pain in the ass.

I dont know Im just a jackass.......

Prybar...just watch out for the axle seal (should replace those while your at it anyways)

Your biggest challenge will be to pop the axle back in, it is difficult with the clip that goes around the end...if its loose you could spend the better part of an hour trying to get the new axle to click in. The fix-Bearing grease to keep the clip centered.

If your talking about getting it out of the hub, a impact hammer does the trick....

Thanks, for some reason it popped right in. I didn't replace the seal though. This Accord only needs to rip for two more races (20 miles) and I'm, sure it will be toast anyway. By the way do you know which mid to early 90's honda Accord/civic puts out the most HP. We have to leave these cars stock so mods are out of the question. Thanks.
