Im 16 and just got my first 1991 honda accord lx 4 door automatic. Almost everything is stock. I usually see these nice fast good looking 91 accords on the road and internet and want to get there but I have no clue about all the technical engine talk. I only know the basics and want to know where to start so I can end up even changing my engine to a v-tech.???
before you go modifying your car get a backup for when you blow the damn thing up.
Get a cheapo pos that will get you form point A to B reliably and get a car to fix up. Also learning what you can buy cheap and what you cant should be high priority.
Good example is intakes, the tube isnt the important part, the filter is.
If you dont know why your car takes certian fluids, learn why before you take anyones advice on changing to a different type. Synthetic fluids are generaly better but not always better to use in your situation.
Good example is those dumb DSM ricer kids throwing 15w50 oil in their stock motors and turning up their boost.
Since oil is the most common fluid to change in your car I would suggest you start to learn about it, you can follow the link in my avatar to read up on oil, or the 2nd link for car audio.

not true.
first of all, cheap parts = a much higher failure rate than that of a quality therefore more expensive part.
second, not that using a quality aftermarket intake would do much of anything for performance gains, but the tube does play an important role. mandrel bent tubing where the diameter of the tube is uniform along the entire length is desired for the least amount of air resistance.
please, read the stickies. i posted the link for the original poster. all of the info that you would need to start with is right there. learn how to use the search function. there is a vast amount of information in this site and this topic has been covered a countless number of times.

reading stickies isnt needed. its just easier to post all the questions you have in individual threads. dont bother using the search function either. just ask away, even if its been answered a millions times. theres always some chump fag that will reply. i would start by getting bigger injectors. you cant go faster unless you get more fuel

right, but buying a cheaper tube with mandrel bends, or piecing together/ welding up one out of MB tubing, or hell, buying a used AEM or injen and getting a new filter are all good options when you're on a budget.
