Thats a terrible motor. You car would move like a slug afterwards.

What happened to your current motor? Have you checked out hpi's engine exchange program.

For the same price your about to pay for that motor you can get a sweet new hpi engine.

http://www.hpiracing.com/eng_exch.htm

I just looked up the motors and this is the one you want.

1626 Nitro Star 12R SS $99.00

Has 1hp , comes with pull start & has the rotary carb like yours.

Hope this helps. Contact HPI about this and see what they suggest will work to just confirm.

Also if you want to spend like 10 dollars more. Get a .18 powerplant and not only thats its a slide carb....you just need to swap up the linkage to get this to work.

But 1.5hp. That thing will smoke and have tons of torque cause its large.

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFDJ2&P=0

I would highly suggest this motor. Great power and a high max rpm. Topspeed and power will increase.

I was also looking at this engine http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/261921.asp
but i'm not sure. my old engine won't turn over any more.
So i went to the local hobby shop and the guy there said that the os max engine was better than my stock one so i bought it, and i was trying to put it on but the mounting holes won't line up so i was thinking of getting the t - 15
or making the os max engine fit.
I need help

Ok what was the stock engine. I cant believe they sold you that motor, that is by far one of the worst motors. Also figuring it doesnt fit, they have no clue what they are doing there.

Also if its not fitting , it wont work and nor do you need to make that work. Its a pos. Return it saying it didnt fit. That ought to make any problems null and never go back to the place. Cause they f*cked you royally. I cant believe that motor is still around. You can get cv-r's for that price anyways. A much improved version of that thing.

As for the new motor you suggested. It says its the motor in the evo. Maybe you have a different evo and or motor?

If so just let me know what you got. But for 79. That seems to be a great price. Only problem I see is the rpm is 29,000. Thats kinda low.

The 12R SS Goes to 35,000 and is rated over 1hp. You can get that for $99

Then the other motor I highly suggested.
Team Orion Wasp .18 - Has 36,000 1.5hp - $109

That could equal a good amount of mph's. I would stick with the higher revving motors.

Did it look like this?

http://hpiracing.com/optionparts/stat-15.htm

If so that is also a pos engine. And the CV is about the same then, not as bad as I first thought they did you. But for christ sake those people should have said for 10 bucks more you can get basically double the motor.

Youll run that CV so hard itll die soon anyway. You want more power then you wont ask for everything from the motor and it can run cooler and will last longer and of course go a shit load faster.

I would go with those 3 motors we have talked about. But I would go the extra few bucks and get the team orion motor. The .18 powerplant is going to amaze you.

Towerhobbies is a great place to order from as well.

Also here is a code no one else has: 5957K

Use that when you check out from tower. It will give you free shipping. Only good for a month or so.

Thats so cheap Im thinking on getting one for my rs4-2.
