I suggest buying a inexpensive nitro car to start off with. Maybe a used one in good condition because your gonna make mistakes and crash.

A year or two ago I bought a dtx evader off ebay for $150. I was told it had a rebuilt engine, which I believe because the compression is hella strong still. Overall, it's been a good experience, but there's alot of hidden costs and it's very time consuming.

I crashed my car about a year ago and just today, I started ordering replacement parts to start playing again.

Get to know this site very well towerhobbies.com excellent prices and customer service!

Where do you plan on driving it (neighborhoods or racetrack) , what company seems to interest you the most?

Ok , do you like any certain companies so far. Have you been looking around?

What type of vehicle do you want. Car , truck , buggy....do you want something that can run inside too?

What about cost?

Wink

Be careful where you play with it. My dad was racing his electric cars somewhere in Temple City, CA and the neighboring businesses complained about nitros and they had to stop hosting Nitro races. Good times .

Don't www.hpi-racing.com have some nitros that are not RTR?
