Nitro 4 tec problem

My Nitro 4 tec wont sift in second has anyone have this problem or know how to fix it b/c i am a nub at R/Cs

There is one screw to make sure its tight on the shaft, that will be pretty far in. Tighten that.

Was it shifting before? If thats loose then that was it.

hmm i have a nitro 4tec... there's a screw like mike said that you adjust for the shift point... maybe it's set too high? mine shifts fairly quick, so maybe you're just missing it?

From traxxas: Make sure that the engine is reasonably tuned and broken-in first. During the break-in, the engine is being run so rich that the engine may not turn fast enough to reach the shift point. If your engine is broken-in, try tightening the adjustment screw until it stops (make sure not to screw it too tight or you can damage the spring underneath the set screw). Back the set screw out between 7 1/4 and 7 1/2 turns and this should set your shift point.

Well get out the instructions and look up the 2speed and locate the screw im talking about. Tighten that with a hex key most likely.

the other day i was in a huge parking lot and i gunned it and it never changed, but i am going to look for that screw right now and read the instruction
