Hey I have a nitro 4-tec too . I got a tuned pipe, but it's the one for the t-maxx (same engine). It depends on if you have the new 2.5 engine or not. If you have the older .15 pro then you'll need to get a tuned pipe for that engine. The tuned pipe sounded better, and it increased my acceleration by a good stretch. (spins all four tires from dead stop), but of course I did drop down one level shorter for the gears. Gotta love the 2speed tranny. Good luck.

ah you must have the old .15 pro engine then, cauz my nitro sport had a muffler like that, the screw went all the way through the muffler.

Why dont you get a new pipe. The stock ones usually suck.

well if that's the course you wanna go, I think this is about the only tuned pipe that'll still fit the old .15's since they don't make much for them now since basically EVERYTHING but the nitro sport has the 2.5 now,

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJM07&P=7

It's a little expensive but they're worth it. That one is $49, and I think besides the mounting points, it's pretty much the same one that I have. Mine was the t-maxx one (same engine though)
